At Wilson Family Chiropractic it is our mission to improve the quality of life of our patients, their families and our community. We provide a relaxing environment to facilitate healing through chiropractic care and education on health and wellness. Wilson Family Chiropractic’s experienced and friendly staff are always on hand to provide you with the best possible care and answer your questions.


Dr. Katie Wilson, DC
Dr. Katie Wilson opened Wilson Family Chiropractic in 2006. She is a 2004 Life University, Doctor of Chiropractic, graduate and a 1992 graduate of University of Northern Colorado in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Accounting. She enjoys providing chiropractic care to all ages and is certified in prenatal and pediatrics. Dr. Wilson believes in the intelligence of the body and its ability to heal naturally and drug-free.
Prior to moving to Sylva, Dr. Wilson and her husband Erik grew up in a small rural farming community in Northeast Colorado. She then spent her twenties traveling and living in South Africa. In her thirties, Dr. Wilson worked for Ribley Family Chiropractic in Woodstock, Georgia throughout her schooling and joined as one of the doctors until the opening of her own practice. With their love of small town living, a sense of community and family values, Erik and Dr. Katie felt Sylva was the perfect place to raise their two children, Eden and Kavan.

Dr. Jeffery Goldwasser, DC
Dr. Jeffrey Goldwasser graduated from Western States Chiropractic College in 1984 and has been in practice for over 30 years. He opened his Sylva practice, Mountain Community Chiropractic in June of 2002. After twelve years of private practice in Sylva, Dr. Goldwasser joined Wilson Family Chiropractic in February of 2014.
In addition to his chiropractic services, Dr.Goldwasser is trained in functional medicine, nutritional therapy, weight loss, detox programs and exercise rehabilitation.

Mary Gelbaugh, CA, XT – Office Manager
Mary joined Wilson Family Chiropractic in 2009 as a Chiropractic Assistant. She can help answer questions you may have regarding insurance, nutritional supplements and is certified to take x-rays in our office. Mary is a 2001 graduate of Western Carolina University in Parks & Recreation and a 2006 graduate of Clayton College of Natural Health in Holistic Nutrition. When not at our office, Mary is helping her husband, Adam at their rafting business, Dillsboro River Company and serving as commissioner for the Town of Sylva. In her free time she enjoys canoeing, gardening, baking, playing cribbage and spending time with Adam and their son Seth and daughter Wren.

Kadie Parker, CA / LMBT – Chiropractic Assistant
Kadie is a 2014 graduate of Southwestern Community college with degrees in Business Administration and Massage Therapy. After graduating she began her career at Fusions’s Spa and massage quickly became her passion. She spent her time learning new modalities and gaining experience before joining the Wilson Family Chiropractic team in October 2017.
Her approach to massage is one of combining relaxation with therapeutic techniques to release physical and mental tension. She specializes in tight neck/shoulders, headaches and sciatica. She integrates a variety of modalities into her massage and has training in swedish, deep tissue, pregnancy, hot stone, Ashiatsu, positional release, Thai, Gua Sha and trigger point.

Diane Steele, CA / LMBT – Chiropractic Assistant
Growing up in Southern Oregon Diane enjoyed camping, hiking and fishing with her family as well as softball, volleyball, basketball and dancing throughout school. At an early age she was introduced to massage therapy and quickly grew to appreciate the many benefits this brought in her athletic pursuits. She recognized the benefits of relaxing tight muscles, improving her flexibility and how regular care helped her achieve her performance goals. It seemed only natural for Diane to pursue a career in massage therapy. In 2017 she graduated from the Center for Massage and Natural Health and joined Wilson Family Chiropractic in 2018. Diane specializes in deep tissue massages and ashiatsu. When not at work Diane enjoys spending time with her daughter Rosalie and her dog Resin.

Kristin Martin, CA / LMBT – Chiropractic Assistant
Kristin graduated from the Massage Institute of Cleveland in 2010. Living in Tennessee at the time, she started her career at the Bradley Wellness Center. After seeing the benefits of massage and experiencing the change that it can have on the human body and overall wellness, Kristin‘s passion for massage grew. She has since devoted her time and knowledge to helping clients; to encourage balance with the body, spirit, and mind as well as take away current pains and provide relaxation.
Kristin moved to North Carolina in 2012, and previously worked at Mandara Spa at Harris Cherokee casino, Massage Envy, and Fusion’s Spa before proudly joining Wilson Family Chiropractic in February 2018. Her calming energy and smooth flowing massage style allows clients to feel at ease and relax quickly. In order to provide each client with an individualized and personal massage experience, she is continually looking for new modalities and techniques to add to her skills. She is currently trained in Swedish, deep tissue, pregnancy, hot stone, trigger point, Thai massage, Ashiatsu, cupping and Gua Sha.”

Teresa Doda, CA / XT – Chiropractic Assistant
Teresa has been a patient in our office for over 10 years so it felt only natural when she joined us in 2018 as a Chiropractic Assistant. She is the first friendly face you see when entering our office and looks forward to serving you. Teresa is certified to take x-rays in our office. When not at work, Teresa enjoys Crossfit, horseback riding, baking and spending time with her husband Remi and son Clark.

Emily Moll, CA / LMBT – Chiropractic Assistant
I’ve been giving and receiving massage therapy and body work most of my life. I have seen and felt the benefits of having body work and I am passionate about sharing my skills to help others receive the same benefits of bodywork. I am a 2017 graduate of The Center for Massage and Natural Health, and have been a licensed massage and bodywork therapist since 2017. My passion as massage therapist is to be a facilitator in assisting the body to heal itself naturally. Massage is a tool to initiate the body’s self-healing faculties to reach and maintain optimum health and life long wellness. Massage is a preventative healthcare technique that has been shown to improve overall health physically and psychologically. My goal is for my clients to witness and experience improvements and positive change for their concerns and overall wellbeing. I offer many types of massage including: Swedish Massage, Integrated Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, and Pregnancy Massage.
